Merbau Deck & Pergola Builder Â
This project, completed by VicBuilt Decks, an experienced deck builder in Hughesdale, features a custom-built timber pergola and Merbau deck that creates a comfortable outdoor entertaining area for all seasons. Constructed from dressed pine, the pergola is finished with corrugated roofing on a subtle lean-to pitch, providing reliable shelter while allowing plenty of natural light into the space. Beneath the pergola, the Merbau deck has been expertly installed with clean board lines and a custom breaker board detail that defines the layout and adds a refined architectural finish. Wide timber steps provide a seamless transition to the backyard, enhancing both functionality and visual appeal. Combining quality materials with expert craftsmanship, this project delivers a practical, durable, and timeless outdoor living space.

Aluminum Batten gate
After completing an earlier project at this Hughesdale property, VicBuilt was called back to remove an old gate that was no longer working properly. A custom double gate was fabricated and installed using fully welded and braced steel frames with 90 mm vertical aluminium battens. Finished in Monument, the new gate provides improved privacy, security and reliable access while complementing the existing home.
